The Chick with her cupcake!
The funny back story here is that before covid, when my team met in person, I would acknowledge their accomplishment with these huge cupcakes! So the fact that we have my very, most favorite Chick eating a cupcake is just too cool!
Today we were talking about using sponging and the new SU Blending Brushes to add dimension to a card. Again, my Chick’s hair, the cupcake and the Happy Birthday are full of bling from Wink of Stella.

Basic White card stock: 3″ x 3″ to cut out circle with Stitched Shapes Circle Die, scrap for Chick; 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
Crumb Cake card stock: 5 1/4″ x 4″
In Color DSP: Just Jade 4″ x 1/2″; Magenta Madness 3 1/2″ x 1/2″
Stamp the Hey, Chick eating the cupcake using Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, set aside.
Run Crumb Cake card stock through SC&E Machine using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. Using the sponge ink the sides and front of the embossed Crumb Cake card stock then adhere card stock to the Magenta Madness card base with green glue.
Using the SC&E Machine and the Stitched Shapes Dies cut out a circle from the Basic White card stock, using the blending brushes add Just Jade ink to the edges on the sides and bottom of the circle. Use in next step.
Use paper snips to cut one end of the In Color DSP strips to make banners, then adhere the banners using green glue to the Crumb Cake card stock. Use the circle as a guide to have the banners under the circle. Adhere the circle on top of the banners using green glue.
Cut the Happy Birthday out of Magenta Madness scrap using the SC&E Machine, add Wink of Stella to the front of Happy Birthday then use green glue adhere it to the Crumb Cake card front.
Color the Hey, Chick with blends. I put Wink of Stella on the frosting (no color), the candle flame and Hey, Chick’s hair. Adhere Hey, Chick to the front of the circle with dimensionals.
Add Enamel Dots as desired.
