Hey, Chick Day 6

Let’s Celebrate You!

Totally not my usual style, a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) of Stampin’UP! Square Card.  Their card had a circle, but I did not have any envelopes for a square card, so I made this a regular card and used an oval instead.  That is how you CASE a card and make it yours.  All these Chick’s are very excited about their first birthday!  The Hey, Birthday Chick’s came from the egg in Hey, Chick.

Melon Mambo card stock & Pumpkin Pie card stock: scrap of each for banner

Using the 8 1/2″ x 2″ Basic White card stock stamp eight chicks (I put 3 inside) using the Memento Black ink, set aside.

Using the 5 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ Basic White card stock run the two of the Stitched Rectangle dies inside of each other to get the Basic White Border.  The inside rectangle piece of Basic White card stock use for the inside of the card.

Using the smaller of the two dies you used above cut the 5 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ Daffodil Delight card stock using.

Layer the Basic White frame on the Daffodil Delight card base.  Layer the cut Daffodil Delight card stock inside the Basic White frame.

Using the 4″ x 3” Basic White card stock piece cut out the oval using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  Stamp ‘Let’s Celebrate you’ using Memento Black ink in the middle of the oval, set aside.

Using the scrap of Basic White card stock cut out the Happy Birthday and the white banner.  Using the  scraps of Melon Mambo card stock & Pumpkin Pie card stock cut out a banner of each.  Use Wink of Stella on the front of Happy Birthday.

Using Daffodil Delight ink pad stamp the confetti three or four times on the front of the Basic White Oval over the words.  Using the Melon Mambo blend add in dots and squiggles.  Using the Pumpkin Pie blend add in dots.

Color the Chicks using the blends.  Cut the Chicks out using the Hey, Birthday Chick dies.  Using Green glue adhere the feet of five chicks to the Basic White Oval.  Have the Basic White Oval sitting on the card front so you can position the Chicks and the Happy Birthday.  Adhere the Happy Birthday using green glue.  Adhere the Oval with the Chicks using dimensionals.  Adhere the banners using green glue.
