Funny, Funny Story!

I asked Wendy to cut this in Black & White because I wanted to do this card in black and white with just a tint of red because that is really classy.  And she didn't understand my directions or something, I don't know.   Some of you may not know this, but what happens is I give Wendy a general idea of what I want cut.  And then she cuts it to size and I say, No – a little smaller, a little bigger until we get it right.  Then Wendy cuts it for you all to use at our classes.  (Speaking of classes – this month is masculine cards for the theme…   CLICK HERE TO SEE OUR CLASS SCHEDULE!).  Well, when she gave this to me, it was Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.  And I was like – this was supposed to be black & white.   So, she said, let me cut you some more paper.  Well being the VERY, VERY, VERY patient person that I am (which we all know isn't true!), I just did it up with the Early Espresso before she could even cut out Black & White.  So, you COULD do this in Basic Black, Whisper White and Real Red.

This card, however, is Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Raspberry Ripple Classic Ink for the red.    What I did is use a scratch piece of Very Vanilla Paper and stamped the bike and phone book with Early Espresso and the Ferris Wheel with Raspberry Ripple Classic Ink.  And then I punched each of those out with the 1 3/8" square punch.  Then you line all 3 of those images up on the piece of the Early Espresso Card Stock.   Then I took the Early Espresso Card Stock and really lightly taped it down on the Very Vanilla Card Stock.  And here is why I only taped it down lightly – If you mess up this next part, you can untape it and use the back side of the Very Vanilla Card Stock.

Here's the tricky part – On the Very Vanilla Card Stock, I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the words.   (Don't know how to use the stamp-a-ma-jig? Let us know.  We are thinking of doing video's or step by step instructions on an upcoming newsletter.  Don't get our newsletter?  The sign up link is on the right hand side of our blog.  The monthly newsletter contains content not available any where else! )

The Celebrate is from the SAME stamp set – Feeling Sentimental.  Do we LOVE this stamp set?  YES!  And even better since it is FREE during Sale-a-bration!  Hurry though, SAB ends March 22nd!  Don't miss out.

Don't forget to stamp a bit of the Ferris Wheel on the inside of the card, by huffing on the stamp.

Isn't this a great Celebrate Card just great for a trip, a graduation card, a quick Celebrate the Day card.  This card works well for anyone and is quick to do thanks to our great tools like the Stamp-a-ma-jig and punches!

Happy Stamping!

Wendy & Cheryl
