Retirement Sale Still On…

April shoes outside 071

This is definitely a Dad's Day or Graduation card.  These shoes are coming back in style.  Isn't that the craziest thing?  If you wait long enough EVERYTHING comes back into style!

These shoes are from the stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalog called Dapper Dad.  So, what we did was stamp on one piece of Whisper White Card Stock, one of the shoes.  We stamped another shoe on a scrap piece of Whisper White Card Stock and then cut it out with our scissors.   Then we used dimensionals to "pop it up" next to the stamped one to create the pair of shoes.

This card is pretty easy to make.  Well, I always say it's pretty easy to make but that's because Wendy has cut all the paper for us!  So that is the advantage of coming to class.  The paper is already cut for you.  Somebody told me the other day, they went home and made on our the "really, easy cards" and it took her 2 hours because she had to cut the paper.  I was thinking "Yeah, am I spoiled or am I spoiled! "

You will want to come to our New Catalog Party and Sale on Saturday, June 1st from 9am to 2pm.  We will have some pre-cut card stock for sale.  This was a big seller last year!

April shoes inside 071Anyways, for this card we used a Cherry Cobbler Card base, then a sheet of Whisper White as the first step down.  Then there is a second step down using the Parker's Designer Series Paper that is also retiring.  It was in the Spring Mini and it will not be in the new catalog either.  It just looks so bright and cheerful.  I needed some bright and cheerful things since that is the way Spring is supposed to be.  Bright and Cheerful even if I am not.

This will be a great Father's Day Card or a great Graduation Day Card because you know they are stepping out into the world.

Remember to add a shoe to the inside of the shoe, because you know you keep on walking.  And who knows what direction that will lead you?
