This is my friend Renee who needed (actually TIM her DH requested) a birthday card for a special friend who had just become a US citizen this past year so this was her first AMERICAN Birthday.  So after hours and hours we came up with this card!  I am just teasing!  It did not take long at all.  We actually looked at the Stampin’UP! big cattie and there on page 67 was the perfect card to case. 

Of course we had to emboss the stars using craft ink and use the wonderful, soft, silky new Satin Ribbon from page 27 in the Occasions Mini for the red bar in the middle.  All in all it was really a fast card to put together. Renee will tell you the hardest part was "random stamping of the stars" with Cheryl just saying: "stamp, don’t think!, stamp!"  You would never guess that of Cheryl!!!

We are having a class for some tweens and this is what we came up with for the boys.  They wanted to emboss and use the Big Shot so we thought that making a chalkboard for their doors with post-it notes would work.  What do you think?  We used the new magnetic paper you can find in the  Definitely Decorative catalog here.  This is embossed with the stamp sets "Extreme Skate Board" and "Extreme Snow Board" both of which you can get free – ask us how!  The background is stamped with the set "Exteme Elements" one of our favorite sets for backgrounds – it is so versatile.  We will show you the girls page later in the week.

This is the new Stampin’UP! exclusive Mini Milk Carton Die for the Big Shot!  It is so much fun to use.  We made these Valentine mini milk cartons at Viv’s workshop.  If you would like to make one, contact me and we will have a workshop with your friends – great way to spend a night out.

The new Stampin’UP! valentine paper "Sending Love" used to decorate the bottom of the mini milk carton is all sparkly!  The new Designer Series Paper has glitter on one side – so much fun to use and beautiful to see.  The butterflies where made with the new Stampin’UP! embosslit "Beautiful Wings".  It embosses and cuts in one step – YES! in one step.  If you would like to know how to use these new toys contact me here.

2010 classes, workshops and meeting have offically started!  I am so excited.  December is always such a slow month it seems like a reunion of sorts when classes and such start back in full swing in January.  I have really missed everyone.  With Wendy still getting settled from Leadership I have been having fun seeing everyone.  We had a workshop on Sunday, downline meetings on Tuesday and class today.  SO much fun to catch up with everyone and to hear all the adventures of the past weeks. 

This is a little gift we are having everyone who comes to class or workshops (actually any time you walk through the door!) make.  I was really excited when I saw the stamp back in July and could not wait until Valentine’s to start making the cute treat.  One HUGE drawback was finding lollipops!  Yes, you would think that would be easy – just run to Walgreen, Wal Mart, Woodman, the Dollar Store, the Card Shop, the grocery store – NOPE! None of them had red lollipops – let alone heart ones!  With me not driving yet – I have customers looking out for me and they were amazed that they were not out yet either.  Finally, my friend found 10 for me and then I discover Toostie Pops worked!  The day has been saved!  So stop by for a class, workshop or just to play and make a treat!  Oh!  yes, guess I am soppose to tell you what I used!  bad me!  It is from the SU big Cattie ‘Whoo’s Your Valentine’.  If you want to order the stamps and cardstock to make these cute treats you can email here.  Remember all orders over $50,00 qualify for FREE stamps!

I love this new set, it is so my style!  It is called "Vintage Vogue".  You can see it in the new Occasions Mini here.  Just as flowers are Wendy’s style, this is mine.  I love the college effect you can get with the set and MATCHING WHEEL!  I used the BIG SHOT for the background on the first layer.  You can not tell by the picture but I sponged the entire Whisper White card stock with Old Olive.

Stampin’UP! Leadership is over but today SU has a regional meeting that Wendy stayed in AZ to attend.  She will be coming home on Sunday.  Not sure who will get her as we have a workshop here – perhaps we will just send a sled for her to ride home.  That will give her a chance to play in all the snow we got while she was "working" in the Arizona heat!  We are looking forward to seeing all the new toys she is bring home.

Are you wondering who Susan is?  Susan is our dear friend from Michigan who is right now in Phoenix, AZ with Wendy.  She came to visit us this past autumn and Wendy got her even more addicted to coffee and coffee roasting – but that is a story for another time.

Wendy called to tell me it was Susan’s Birthday today and did I know?  Well, no!  I only know it is your birthday if you are my customer AND you filled out a form!  If you are my customer you know that each year I pick a different starting date HOPING to get birthday cards out – I don’t seem to be able to do it all year long!  Well, this year I am starting again in January – sorry to July and on birthday people!  No, just kidding – I am actually going to try to get through the entire year this year!  I am in a contest with our upline to send out 4 cards every week for three months!  Can you believe it!  Look for a card to you soon!  As you have guessed this post is from the Cheryl part of Wendy & Cheryl!  So Happy Birthday Susan!  Enjoy the warm weather – we are getting 4 to 6 inches of snow!  Have a lot of fun at leadership!
