Very Unusual Post

The post below is from someone who I know.  I believe this too.  Only love will get through in the end and we all must take a stand at some point.  So my little stand is to include his post for you to read.

My stamping information is to go check out the Clearance Rack!  (Under Home on the left second row down.)

Friend's Post:

I rarely post on social issues, but the events in Charlottesville and the re-emergence of white supremacists are just too much to bear. What is sad and alarming is that for every one of those who chose to participate in that alt-right event, there are family members, colleagues and others behind the scenes who taught them to think such misguided thoughts. Richard Rodgers put this to words back in the musical "South Pacific" in 1949 as his characters lamented racism and talked about how it is spread.

You've got to be taught to hate and fear
You've got to be taught from year to year
It's got to be drummed in your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught

You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made
And people whose skin is a diff'rent shade
You've got to be carefully taught

You've got to be taught before it's too late
Before you are six or seven or eight
To hate all the people your relatives hate
You've got to be carefully taught

As one who plays just a small role in teaching youths, and as a parent and an uncle, I pray that I can teach others not to hate but to practice justice, love mercy and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8).
