Happy Valentine’s Day!
Yes, two cards today. The first one combines adding color with sponges and blending brushes, as well as coloring/shading with the Blends. Okay, so the first card is for an avid stampers, it might also have masking on it. (it does!) The easiest way to see how to make the card is to watch the video, really it will show everything.
Card number two was for Valentine’s Day for you. Hope your day was great!

C/S: Poppy Parade #;119793; Basic White #159276
Other: Art Gallery Bundle #156227; Ice Cream Corner DSP #154567; Wink of Stella #141897; Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine #149653; Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430; Multipurpose Liquid Glue #110755 (Green Glue); Paper Snips #103579; Stamping Sponges #141337; Blending Brushes #153611; copy paper; Washi Tape or painters tape
Poppy Parade card stock: 8 1/2? x 5 1/2? scored at 4
Basic White card stock: 4″ x 4 1/4″; 5″ x 4″; 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
Ice Cream Corner DSP: 4″ x 1 1/2″
On the copy paper stamp each of the Chick’s and cut out with dies. These will be used for masking.
Stamp the Middle Chick with Balloon, the Poppy Parade hair Chick and the baby Chick using Memento Black ink on the 5″ x 4″ Basic White card stock. Let them sit and dry for a couple of minutes then color them with blends and cut out with dies. I only used Wink of Stella on the Poppy Parade hair Chick – she had to have the most bling!
CHECK YOUR PIECE OF CARD STOCK! You get really mad at yourself if you have the card stock the wrong direction or the wrong size….yes, I would know this for experience x3! You will be building all your Chicks on the 4″ x 4 1/2″ Basic White card stock – with the 4 1/2″ going top to bottom. Sponge the bottom of the Basic White with Pear Pizzazz ink using a sponge. Set your paper Chick’s, not your card stock Chicks, where you want them on the Basic White card stock. Hold them in place with the Washi or painters tape. Using the Blending brushes with the Balmy Blue ink color the sky on the Basic White card stock.
***NOTE*** The dies cut the Chicks out with an edge around them, you can cut the edge off before doing the background or you can wait and use blends to cover up the white space.
Take off the masks – it is fine if you did not do it perfect, it is homemade with love! With Memento Black ink Stamp the Yellow Chick and the Bermuda Bay Chick on the Basic White card stock front you just created. Color your Chick with the blends.
Using the Blending brush you can color the edges of the Chick’s you have colored and cut out of the Basic White card stock. Cut the Poppy Parade Chick to fit right to the Chick under her, adhere with green glue. Adhere the Chick with the balloon and the baby Chick with green glue to the card front.
Now is when you will use the Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz blends to color in any white space next to the Chicks you want colored.
Adhere the colored Chicks to the top front of the Poppy Parade card base and the Ice Cream Corner DSP to the bottom, using green glue.
Stamp saying using Memento Black ink and cut out with die. Adhere to card front with green glue.

Card 2 is so very much easier!!
