2013 Birthday Ferris Wheel 088

I am so excited.  I just love this new stamp set – Feeling Sentimental.  And the best part is that you can get this stamp set FREE with a $50 purchase!  How awesome is it that you can get this absolutely gorgeous stamp set for FREE?  I just love it!  We used the stamp set and the Designer Series Paper that goes with it – Sycamore Street. It just looks beautiful when it is all put together.   And did I mention – you can get them both for FREE?!?

I used the words from Bring on the Cake Stamp Set.  All the birthday cards this month used the words from the same set to make it easy for you.

Bring on the Cake!

One of the best part of using clear stamps and blocks is I was able to put the Ferris Wheel AND the Birthday Wishes together on the same block.  That way, I was sure that it would be lined up just like I wanted them to be.

We stamped it with Rich Razzleberry Ink on Whisper White Card Stock and then layered the DSP and the Whisper White on Island Indigo Card Stock.   The whole card was then layered on Whisper White and then attached to the Island Indigo Card Stock card base.

Green GlueWe tend to often use a 1/16" border around our items.   And we know that this can be difficult to line up correctly.  So, a helpful tip – Use Green Glue!

Really, it's Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive (110755) but Green Glue is so much easier to say and it does have a green cover!

It is easier than using tape.  When you use tape with DSP, once you stick it down it is down and you are not able to change it.

But with green glue, you have a little leeway to adjust before it sets.  Just remember, a little goes a LONG way.  You really want to do less glue than you would normally do.  Just a couple of daps around the outside will do the trick.   If you do get some glue where it is not supposed to be, don't worry.   With the Adhesive Remover (103684) you can remove unwanted adhesive quickly and easily.

This is just a fun, beautiful card.  Have fun with this card and don't forget to stamp the ferris wheel on the inside for that extra special touch.

Happy Stamping!

Wendy & Cheryl
