Fun Kid card for ANY AGE!

2013 Birthday Elephant Boy 083 2013 Birthday Elephant girl 083

This is just a fun card for Kids of every age!  We did the cards in 2 colors just because Henry, the elephant, is just so cute.  I purposely didn't choose pink because I was told Pink Elephants mean something very different…

You first stamp Henry, the elephant, on different color Designer Series Paper (We used Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack – Brights Collection) using Black Staz On Ink.  It works great to stamp Henry right side up, then stamp him upside down with the trunks together.  That way you can maximize your paper space.  More elephants per inch!

The Stamp Set is called Henry Says (Wood 128090  Clear 128093) and it includes banners and pennants.  We colored the stamp directly with markers (Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Gumball Green with Basic Black lines), huffed on it then stamped on the Whisper White card stock.  Repeat this across the top 2 more times.  This does take a little bit of time, so one of our customers (Thanks Sarah) tweaked the card by only putting the stamps in the corners and moved the Birthday greeting to the middle.  This is a great option if you are making multiple cards.

Then we cut Henry out, using our Paper Snips.  Using the Basic Black marker, we colored just the words of the hooray stamp being careful not to color the birds then used the fine tip of the marker to add the line coming from Henry's trunk to the banner.  Don't worry about it being a straight line!

The last thing we did was stamp "It's your Birthday" on Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out using 1 3/4 inch Oval Punch and the Oval Scallop Punch to punch out the Gumball Green layer.  We attached this to the Whisper White Card Stock using Dimensionals.  Notice that the White Layers are layered on Gumball Green (use Green Glue!) and attached to a larger Whisper White Layer all attached to the Gumball Green Card Stock Base.

Don't forget to stamp a pennant in the inside corner of the card.

I hope you enjoyed Henry as much as I did!

Happy Stamping!
