This is the design I use when I need a card and I need one fast. Everyone has some Designer Series Paper someplace. So all you need to do is take 1 piece of DSP, find a ribbon that goes with it, flip the top and bottom (It is actually the same piece of DSP!). You don't want to cut it equally in half. You want to make the bottom a little larger. It looks better for the eye. I used the Extra Large Oval Punch (119859) and layered it on Decorative Label Punch (120907) as a mat. You could just put a flower on here for a birthday. You could put ANYTHING you wanted.
The base of the card is 4 1/4" x 11" folded to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
This whole card is put on a piece of step down white. First you put the DSP on the Top and bottom, then the ribbon goes over the seam and is attached to the back of the white. Then the embellishment is added. Then the whole thing is attached to the card base.
The greeting is from a set called Blessing's from Heaven. The colors of this card were Summer Starfruit, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and Classic Ink, the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, and 1/4" stitched Ribbon in Rich Razzleberry.
I did use the Rich Razzleberry Ink to sponge around the Oval.
This is a great card. Have fun with it.
Send me an e-mail with a picture of the cards YOU are making. We will be featuring YOUR creations on an upcoming Blog.
