Can you believe it!  I got two pictures on here!  Yes, it is a miracle!  Thanks Lynn!  Okay after typing out all the instructions I realized that "a picture truely is worth a thousand words.  The card on the left is the completed card.  The card on the right is after stamping but before you added the Early Espresso card stock… see the white lines left from stamping on different layers of card stock…. they all disappear when you add the Early Espresso card stock.  Oh! and Wendy said to just use a little tape to hold the Very Vanilla card stock together while you are stamping… true it will never show!  Now to all the directions I wrote the other night!

Here it is!  You have asked for directions and instructions for this card so here it goes…. if you would like personal help come to November 10/15 class, we are making these cards in that class!

The Early Espresso card stock measurements are:

5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card base

4 1/2 " x 3 1/4"

3 1/2" x 2 1/4" 

The Very Vanilla card stock measurements are:

5 1/4" x 4"

4 1/4" x 3"

3 1/4" x 2"

Okay – Just going to say here that you can use any colors of card stock and neutral card stock… like Basic Black instead of Early Espresso and Whisper White instead of Very Vanilla and then stamp with Basic Black on the Whisper White and accent the saying in Real Red.

Lay the Very Vanilla card stock on top of each other and stamp.  I used the Rock and Roll Technique to get the double colors on the leaves.

Okay… forgot to tell you the stamp sets used!!!  Stamp sets are Gently Falling and Day of Gratitude.  The ribbon is the Early Expresso Taffeta Ribbon about 10-12".  The ink pads are: (just in case you want to gather them up!) Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, More Mustard, Gumball Green and Soft Suede.

Okay now you are stamping on the Very Vanilla card stock  – all three layers at one time :

Nope!  not ready to stamp the leaves yet… first I stamped the saying from Day of Gratitude in Early Espresso ink on the middle of the smallest Very Vanilla card stock… any where is fine you are going to fill in around it.


Use the Maple leaf first – always use the biggest stamp first… and yes, stamp an odd number of each leaf….your welcome Linda!  Okay, on the Maple leaf stamp first in More Mustard and then rock and roll it on the Riding Hood Red… go easy so you don't get too much red.  After the first inking and stamping stamp the stamp on scratch paper… I know you all have grid paper you are stamping on!  Then ink and stamp it three or five time on the Very Vanilla.

Next stamp the long leaf on the Gumball Green and rock and roll it on the More Mustard…. Don't worry about the colors getting on your More Mustard ink pad they will come off in one of the next steps!  Now ink up the long leaf and stamp if three or five time on the Very Vanilla card stock filling in the spaces around the Maple leaf.

Next stamp the smallest leaf on just More Mustard ink pad and stamp on the Very Vanilla.  IT should be getting quite filled in by now.  Remember to leave a little white space.

Use the acorn stamp to fill in… or on top of the leaves.  I inked it with Soft Suede and stamped then stamped the acorn on the Very Vanilla a second time before inking it again…. that is how I got the light and dark look.

Okay now your Very Vanilla should be well inked.  Take the smallest Very Vanilla card stock and adhere it to the smallest Early Espresso card stock, then adhere that to the medium Very Vanilla card stock – be sure to NOT mix the tops and bottom of the stamped card stock!  Then adhere the whole thing to the medium Early Espresso card stock.  NOW wrap the ribbon around the card stock.  Take that card stock with the ribbon and adhere it to the large piece of Very Vanilla stamped card stock, next adhere the whole thing to the card base!  YOU ARE DONE!  Doesn't it look awesome!  Okay, now if you have questions come to class!
